Remembering

I suppose a place to begin is to remake remembering; so that I am not defined by my memories of what transpired in the past. We remember with such bias and emotion as to not really create an accurate portrayal of what happened. What if we could really remember and not make it mean anything other than what it was? What if we did not inherit memories, but gained an understanding of the experiences- ours and others?
